Jon Jones will make his next title defense in February, UFC officials have confirmed.
Jones will face Glover Teixeira at UFC 170 from Las Vegas. The card is set for February 22.
Jones (19-1) set a light heavyweight division record for successful title defenses when he bested Alexander Gustafsson this past September. He has now defended his title six times, including wins over Chael Sonnen, Vitor Belfort, Lyoto Machida and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson by stoppage.
Teixeira (22-2) is 5-0 since joining the UFC in 2012, including wins over Ryan Bader, Jackson and James Te Huna. He has not lost since a 2005 decision defeat vs. Ed Herman.
